Confirmed Bite Incidents

Virginia Beach, located just a few hours south of the capital, has experienced four bite incidents within the past few weeks. While these incidents resulted in minor injuries that required basic first aid, they have raised awareness about the presence of marine life in the area.

Fortunately, there have been no notable bite or attack incidents at any other beaches in the DMV area this season. This means that beachgoers can still enjoy the water without fear of encountering dangerous marine life.

Tracking Sharks in the DMV Area

Great Whites are known to travel great distances, and Simon was last pinged near Virginia Beach in April before moving north towards Canada.
