Red Lobster Closures: DMV-Area Locations Among 130 Additional Restaurants Facing Shutdown
Attention cheddar biscuit lovers in Northern Virginia, brace yourselves for some disappointing news. Red Lobster, a beloved seafood chain known for its delicious biscuits, is facing potential closures for some of its DMV-area locations.
After filing for bankruptcy last month, Red Lobster has listed 130 additional restaurants that may be forced to shut down. In court filings, the company cited certain building leases as potential drivers of continued losses, leading to the decision to reject them.
In Maryland, only one location is on the closure list, but in Virginia, eight locations are at risk, including two in the DMV-area: 555 S. Van Dorn Street in Alexandria and 10325 Fairfax Blvd. in Fairfax. Florida is also facing a significant impact, with over 25 additional locations potentially closing.
If you’re a fan of Red Lobster and frequent any of these locations, this news may come as a blow. Stay updated on the situation and check the full list of possible closures. Have a news tip on this story or any other? Share it with us by emailing newstips@wusa9.com.
