Primark Announces Opening Date for Tysons Corner Center Location in Virginia
Excitement is building as Primark, the popular fast fashion retailer, gears up to open its first-ever Virginia location at Tysons Corner Center on July 16, 2024. The 35,000-square-foot store will be housed in the former L.L. Bean storefront, marking a new chapter for the shopping destination.
Primark, known for its affordable prices and trendy clothing options, has been making waves in the D.C. area since opening its first location at Arundel Mills in Maryland last year. With plans for additional stores in the region, including at Potomac Mills and the Mall at Prince George’s, the brand is quickly expanding its presence in the U.S.
Kevin Tulip, Primark U.S. President, expressed excitement about the upcoming opening, stating, “We’re ready to open our doors in Tysons to bring ‘Primania’ to even more US shoppers, with many Virginia shoppers able to explore the store for the first time.”
Primark’s commitment to sustainability and ethical practices is also highlighted, with the company launching a “Primark Cares” campaign in 2021. By 2030, Primark aims to make all clothes from recyclable or sustainably sourced materials, aligning with growing consumer demand for eco-friendly fashion options.
Shoppers can expect a wide range of affordable clothing options at the Tysons store, with denim starting at $10 and tee shirts at $4.50. Additionally, the store will offer NBA and NFL apparel for fans looking to represent the Washington Wizards and Washington Commanders at budget-friendly prices.
To celebrate the grand opening, Primark will be offering complimentary treats from Georgetown Cupcakes and other giveaways on July 16. The festivities will continue throughout the weekend, with free food trucks and a visit from SpongeBob SquarePants on July 20 and 21.
