Primark Opens First Virginia Location at Tysons Corner Center, Offering Affordable Fashion and More
Primark, the popular international clothing retailer from Ireland, has officially opened its doors to customers in the DMV area at the Tysons Corner Center in Fairfax County, Virginia. This marks the company’s first location in Virginia and its 25th store in the United States.
The store, which offers more than 35,000 square feet of retail space, provides shoppers with a wide range of fashion, homeware, and beauty products at affordable prices. To celebrate the grand opening, customers were welcomed with a free tote bag and complimentary treats from Georgetown Cupcakes.
In addition to the Tysons Corner Center location, Primark recently opened a store at Arundel Mills in Hanover, Maryland, and has plans to open new locations at Potomac Mills in Woodbridge, Virginia, and the Mall at Prince George’s in Hyattsville, Maryland.
To further celebrate the grand opening, the Tysons Corner Center is hosting giveaway events and prizes for customers this weekend. On July 20, customers can enjoy free totes and giveaways, as well as free lunch from the Empanadas de Mendoza food truck in the Primark parking lot. On July 21, there will be more free totes and giveaways, free ice cream in the parking lot, and appearances from SpongeBob SquarePants throughout the day.
Despite facing scrutiny in the past over claims of exploitation of low-paid workers in U.K. factories, Primark has launched the “Primark Cares” campaign in 2021, pledging to utilize sustainable practices.
