Washington Commanders Look to Turn the Page and Build for the Future
The Washington Commanders are gearing up for a new era as they aim to leave their losing ways behind. After a disappointing season with only four wins, the franchise has undergone a significant overhaul of both the coaching staff and the roster.
Head coach Dan Quinn is leading the charge in instilling a new culture and building up the team to be competitive once again. While the transformation won’t happen overnight, progress is already being made as the Commanders look to turn things around.
One area of focus for the team is the offensive line, which struggled to protect quarterback Jayden Daniels last season, allowing 65 sacks. Draft expert Matt Miller has Washington targeting elite offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. from Texas in the upcoming 2025 draft to address this need.
Banks Jr. has already proven himself as a standout player in college, earning accolades such as Freshman All-American honors and being named to the All-Big 12 First Team. With his powerful frame and solid technique, he could be a valuable addition to the Commanders’ offensive line.
As the Commanders continue to rebuild and improve, fans can expect to see progress on the field. Stay tuned to CommanderGameday and the Locked On Commanders podcast for more coverage throughout the 2024 season.
