Travis Scott Takes Arrest in Stride: Selling T-Shirts with Mugshot
Travis Scott Arrested for Trespassing and Disorderly Intoxication in Miami Beach
Rapper Travis Scott, also known as Jacques Webster, found himself in hot water recently after being arrested for allegedly trespassing and disorderly intoxication in Miami Beach. The Miami Beach Police Department confirmed the incident, stating that Scott was taken into custody and held at the Miami-Dade County Jail on bonds totaling $650.
According to the police report, there was a disturbance on a yacht in the Miami Beach Marina, where Scott was reportedly standing by the dock and yelling at the vessel’s occupants. Police noticed a strong smell of alcohol on Scott’s breath and asked him to sit down, but he repeatedly stood back up. Despite being warned to leave and not return, Scott did not comply with the officers’ instructions.
In a surprising turn of events, Scott took to social media to address the incident. On X (formerly Twitter), he mentioned his upcoming Circus Maximus tour and seemed unfazed by the arrest. He even posted a picture of his mugshot on his Instagram Story and announced that he would be selling T-shirts featuring his mugshot with the slogan, “It’s Miami,” with proceeds going to his foundation, Cactus Jack.
This arrest comes at a tumultuous time for Scott, who has been dealing with legal issues following the tragic events at his AstroWorld festival in Texas, where 10 people lost their lives. He has also recently split from his longtime partner, Kylie Jenner, with whom he shares two children.
Despite the challenges he has faced, Scott’s representative expressed gratitude that a resolution was reached without the need for a trial in the AstroWorld case. The confidential agreement aims to honor the victims’ legacies and promote improvements in concert safety.
As Scott prepares for his upcoming tour, fans are eagerly anticipating his next moves and how he will navigate the aftermath of his recent arrest.
