Washington Wizards and Monumental Sports Launch Diaper Dudes Campaign to Support Families in Need

The Washington Wizards and Monumental Sports are teaming up to support new parents in the community with the launch of the Diaper Dudes campaign. This initiative aims to celebrate the critical role of raising children and promote infant health.

In a generous gesture, the organizations donated over 300,000 diapers to the Greater DC Diaper Bank, where volunteers helped sort the massive donation at the warehouse. These diapers will be distributed to families in need, as statistics show that one in five families in the DMV area live below the federal poverty level, with no diaper needs covered by assistance programs.

Additionally, the Monumental Sports and Entertainment Foundation contributed $25,000 to the diaper bank, further supporting the cause. Through social media posts, the foundation shared that they packaged nearly 6,500 diapers, which is enough for 85 babies for a month.
